It seems that there are plenty of other variations of blogs, such as genre type and media type blogs.
By genre
According to reliable news sources, some blogs focus on a specific subject, such as niche blogs, political blogs, classical music blogs, house blogs, education blogs, project blogs, fashion blogs, quizzing blogs, travel blogs, and legal blogs or dreamlogs.
On the other hand, there are two common types of genre blogs which consists of art blogs and music blogs. A blog which features discussions especially about one’s house and family can also be personally called a mama’s blog. On the other hand, there are also spam blogs or splogs which are circulating on the internet.
By media type
If you have encounter a blog comprising of videos is called a vlog. On the other hand, the blog that comprises of links is called a linklog, while a site containing a portfolio of sketches is known as a sketchblog or one comprising photos or pictures and images is called a photoblog. Blogs with very short posts and mixed media types are known tumblelogs. And blogs that are written on typewriters (yes, those old noisy typewriters) and then scanned are better known as typecast or typecast blogs.
Finally, a rare type of blog hosted on the Gopher Protocol is called as a Phlog.
