The Blogosphere
The cooperative community of all blogs is also known as the blogosphere. Based on my observation, it seems that all blogs are on the internet by definition, and furthermore, they may be seen as an interconnected and socially networked marketplace. On the other hand, blogs comprise of various other elements such as its own blogrolls, comments, trackbacks and its own respective backlinks.
And when you refer to discussions in the blogosphere, this has been widely used by the media as a measurement of public opinion on various matters. A compilation of local blogs can sometimes be referred to as a bloghood.
Blog search engines
There are several blog search engines which sprung up over the internet over the years which can be used to search blog contents. These blog search engines comprise of Bloglines, BlogScope, and Technorati.
Based on my observation, it seems that Technorati, which is among the most famous blog search engines, has the ability to provide current information on both hot searches as well as tags used to categorize blog postings. In fact, according to the research community, they are working on going beyond simple keyword lookup, by inventing new methods to steer through huge amounts of information which can be found on the blogosphere.
