There are so many types of blogs on the internet, but I shall focus mainly on personal blogs and corporate blogs.

Personal blogs

According to my definition, the personal blog is an ongoing diary or commentary by a person. And this is the most common blog type on the internet. Personal bloggers usually take credits in their blog posts, even if their blog is exposed to anyone. Blogs often become more than a method to just communicate; they become a method to reflect on life or works of art. And yet, blogging can have sentimental values. There are indeed lots of personal blogs that rise to fame and the mainstream. However, the other personal blogs quickly garner extensive followers. Usually, a tipical type of personal blog is referred to as microblogging, which is extremely comprehensive blogging as it seeks to capture other individual attention. For example, sites such as Twitter, allows bloggers to share their thoughts and feelings simultaneously with friends and family and I consider this as a much faster way than e-mailing or writing. In fact, I feel that this form of social media created online generations that are already too busy to keep in touch with one and another.

Corporate blogs

As you can see, a blog can be private, as in most cases, or it can also be used for business purposes. Blogs, either used internally to improve the communication and culture in an organization or it can even be used externally for marketing, branding or public relations reasons are called corporate blogs.
